Tiers & Trading Fees
Account tiers are the levels that decide what your users can do on the exchange and which fees they pay. You can use them to reward your most active users, for example with lower fees for higher volumes. Tiers are under Operator Controls → Exchange → Configuration → Tiers, which has two tabs.
Account Tiers
Lists your tiers. Rules such as completing KYC, account age or traded volume can be attached to a tier through its requirements.
To add a tier:
- Click Create New Tier.
- Enter the tier's name, an icon (a different one per theme if you like, under Theme Specific Icons) and its Requirements/Notes.
- Under Default Trading Fees, set the maker and taker fee. The default fee applies to all trading pairs. You can set each pair's fee on the Trading Fees Management tab once the tier exists.
- Review the tier and confirm.
Plan your tiers before you add them. A tier can't easily be removed once it exists.
To move a user to another tier, open their profile and use Edit User Tier (see Users & Review Queue).
Trading Fees Management
Shows the maker and taker fee of every market for each tier.
- Maker fee: charged on orders that add liquidity to the order book, such as limit orders that rest on the book.
- Taker fee: charged on orders that fill against the order book, such as market orders.
Click Edit Fees to change fees in bulk. Filter by tier level, fee type (maker or taker), market type or market, enter the new fee percentage, and review the impact summary before you confirm. Changes apply as soon as you confirm.
Withdrawal limits per tier are set under Fees & Revenue → Transaction Limits.
To move users between tiers automatically, use the Automatic Tier Upgrade plugin (based on requirements you set) or Tier Upgrade After KYC (once KYC is approved).
