App Links & Passkeys for Mobile Apps
If you have native iOS or Android apps, the App Links tab lets them share passkeys with your website and open website links directly in the app (Universal Links / App Links). HollaEx serves the required apple-app-site-association and assetlinks.json files on your domain.
Requirements:
- Owners and admins only.
- The website needs a custom domain and must own the host root. It can't be a sub-path project: configure App Links on the website that owns the host.
Setup:
- iOS: add App IDs in the form
TEAMID1234.com.example.app(10-character Team ID + bundle ID). Choose Passkeys and/or Universal Links. - Android: add the package name and one or more SHA-256 certificate fingerprints (
AB:CD:...). Choose Passkeys and/or App Links. - Click Save & publish. Apple's CDN can take up to 24 hours to pick up iOS changes.
App Links files are independent of website releases. Publishing, rolling back or unpublishing the website doesn't change them. Use Clear to remove them. If you change the website's domain afterwards, save App Links again so the files are published on the new domain.
Limits: up to 25 iOS app IDs, 25 Android apps, and 10 fingerprints per Android app.
