Billing, Invoices & Payments

The Billing page is available to the owner, admins and billing members.

Plan

New exchanges use the Enterprise plan, billed yearly. Current pricing is at hollaex.com/pricing. To change your billing period, contact support.

Some features need the Enterprise plan: downloading plugins from the Plugins and KYC & AML pages, and creating a HollaEx Web v3 website.

If your exchange is on the legacy Basic plan, these features are locked. Billing shows an Upgrade to Enterprise box, and members who can manage billing get Email support to upgrade: the HollaEx team switches the plan and sends the Enterprise invoice. You can also email support@hollaex.com.

Invoices

  • Pay Now appears when an invoice is waiting. Otherwise Create Invoice creates one for your plan.
  • Statuses: Unpaid, Overdue and Paid. Paid invoices move to Receipts.
  • Renewal invoices are created automatically a few days before your subscription expires, and you get reminder emails and notifications before the invoice and subscription expire.
  • Paying extends your subscription from its current end date (or from today if it has already ended).
  • You receive a "Payment Receipt" email after payment.

The operator agreement must be signed before you can pay. Until then Billing shows a Before you can pay checklist with the steps in order: Verify your identity, Sign the operator agreement, then Pay invoices. Each step's button (Verify identity, Open agreement) takes you to it. Your plan stays as it is meanwhile.

Payment methods

  1. Cryptocurrency (up to 5% off): USDT (TRC20 or ERC20), Bitcoin, Ethereum, XHT, TRON or XRP. Paying with XHT gives a 5% discount. You get a deposit address and exact amount, and the quote is held for 15 minutes. Send the exact amount on the correct network. Once received, the invoice is marked paid and you get a confirmation email.
  2. Credit Card: pay through Stripe Checkout.
  3. Bank Wire Transfer: international or US wire. After sending, paste your bank's transaction or reference ID in the dashboard so the team can match it. The invoice is marked paid once the wire is confirmed, which takes longer than crypto or card.

Discount codes

In the payment method step, enter your code under Input your discount code and click Apply. Errors: "Voucher not found", "Voucher has expired", "Invoice is already paid".

Crypto payment underpaid or overpaid?

If you sent less than the invoice amount, the invoice stays unpaid and further deposits to that address aren't credited automatically. Don't send more to that address: open a Billing ticket with your transaction ID. If you sent more, the invoice is marked paid. Contact support about the difference.

Auto-pay (Stripe subscription)

If your exchange has a Stripe subscription, Billing shows Auto-pay enabled, Payment past due or Auto-pay inactive. Use Manage in Stripe to update your card. While a payment is past due, Stripe retries the charge. Update your card to avoid losing access.

Free trial

Trial exchanges show a banner with the days left and the trial end date. If your plan includes Site Studio, the banner also offers to unlock it by paying now, since trials don't include it. You get reminders 7, 3 and 1 day before the trial ends. Pay before the trial ends to keep your exchange and projects running.

When a trial expires, the dashboard is locked (except Billing) until an invoice is paid. If it stays unpaid, the trial exchange and its website projects are terminated automatically shortly after, and their data can't be recovered. Trials can't be extended.

When a subscription expires

If a paid subscription ends without renewal, a strip at the top of every dashboard page says "Your plan ended " until it's renewed, and you receive expiry emails. Members who can manage billing get a Renew now button; other members are asked to have the owner or a billing member renew it. Renew as soon as possible. An exchange left unpaid is eventually terminated automatically, together with its website projects, and its data is permanently lost.

When a free trial has ended unpaid, or an exchange has no active plan, the dashboard is locked behind a window titled Keep running (trial ended) or Activate (no plan yet). Billing, Agreement and Identity verification stay open. Members who can manage billing click Choose a plan. Members without billing access see "Ask the exchange owner or a billing member to pay on Billing" (or "to choose a plan on Billing"): the owner, an admin or a billing member needs to pay. The window also lets you switch to another exchange or sign out.

Hosting actions that need an active plan

If restart, start, going live, upgrade or backup is refused because the plan isn't paid, a window titled after the action appears, for example Restarting needs an active plan. Members who can manage billing see the open plan invoice and a Pay button that opens it (or Go to Billing when the invoice can't be shown). Pay it and you can try again right away. Other members are asked to have the owner or a billing member pay it.
