How do I get started?

How secure and safe is the exchange solution?

The exchange software is in production use and has been through security audits. The front end is built in React and the server APIs mainly in Node.js, in a microservice architecture. Security features include hot and cold wallet systems, audit trails, encryption, 2FA and role-based access control for operators.

If you need a specific custody setup, see Custody of Exchange Funds.

Is the code tested and audited?

Yes, the software has been tested and audited. Laws differ between jurisdictions, so you may need to meet further audit and compliance requirements where you operate.

What is cryptocurrency exchange software?

Cryptocurrency exchange software is a trading platform where people can buy, sell and trade digital assets. Transactions are recorded on blockchains and handled through wallets rather than verified by banks.

How can I improve the loading speed of the website?

Point your domain's nameservers to a provider such as Cloudflare and enable its CDN. Changing nameservers can cause some downtime, so plan for it.

How can I list my exchange on CoinMarketCap?

Projects with a token can list it on their own HollaEx exchange, which helps them reach a wider audience and get visibility on sites like CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko. In general, the more listings, the better.

How long does it take to start my crypto exchange?

Every exchange starts with an application at hollaex.com/start and a call with the HollaEx team. After approval, deploying the exchange backend itself usually takes a few minutes to about 30 minutes. Configuring assets, fees, KYC, your domain, email and liquidity before opening to users takes longer. The steps are in How do I open a crypto exchange?.

How does HollaEx help me comply with regulations like KYC and AML?

KYC: HollaEx offers a built-in KYC/AML system through its partnership with iDenfy. You can also opt in to another provider, such as Sumsub, Persona or Shufti Pro, instead. See KYC & AML. AML: if you use a third-party KYC or fiat service, they often cover AML checks. If you use HollaEx's own fiat controls, you need your own AML policy.
