Plugins & APIs

Is it possible to add features of my choice? Does HollaEx handle customizations?

Yes. HollaEx has a plugin catalogue where you can add features to your exchange as you need them, and you can develop and run your own or third-party plugins on HollaEx Cloud, including server scripts. Enterprise customers can also ask HollaEx to build a plugin for them. See Develop Plugins and, for paid development work, Can I pay to get custom development done for my exchange?.

Can I integrate third-party tools or APIs (e.g., payment gateways, KYC providers)?

Yes. HollaEx includes plugins for KYC, on-ramps and more, and you can integrate other APIs and tools with plugins and the HollaEx API.

How can I make an API Documentation for my exchange users?

Every HollaEx exchange exposes the same API, so you can point your users to the API reference and tell them to use your exchange's API domain in place of <your-api-domain>. See Developer Overview for how to find your API domain.

Where do I get the API keys and secrets to develop a plugin?

Admin API keys are generated in Operator Controls (you need 2FA on your admin account first). When generating a key you set its name, whitelisted IP addresses and access scope. Copy the secret right away: it can't be shown again after you leave the page.

Users generate their own API keys from their account security settings, which also requires 2FA.

See API Keys.

What are smart contracts?

Smart contracts are programs stored on a blockchain that run when predetermined conditions are met. On a crypto exchange, a smart contract can execute an agreement between two traders to buy and sell digital assets on the blockchain without an intermediary.
