Exchange Features

What are the steps to set up my exchange using HollaEx?

The steps are in How do I open a crypto exchange? on the Getting Started page. In short: apply for the free Operator Trial at hollaex.com/start, have the call with the HollaEx team, and once approved, launch from the dashboard.

Can my exchange support high trading volumes from day one, or are there scalability limits?

HollaEx doesn't set volume limits, and the platform is built to scale. If you expect very high volume at launch, discuss it with the HollaEx team.

Do I need technical expertise to deploy the exchange, or is it truly "no-code"?

No technical experience is needed. HollaEx runs the servers, and you manage everything from the dashboard and Operator Controls. Many operators, including solo entrepreneurs, run exchanges with no technical background.

Do you offer iOS and Android apps for the exchange?

HollaEx provides a Flutter-based mobile app project for iOS, Android and macOS desktop that mirrors the HollaEx web exchange. See The HollaEx App.

For a fully custom app, HollaEx also offers custom development services. Contact support@hollaex.com to discuss requirements, scope and next steps.

Which languages does your solution support?

HollaEx supports many major languages. Add the languages your exchange offers in Operator Controls → Exchange → Configuration → Localization. On HollaEx Web v3 websites, edit the wording in each language in Site Studio. For a language that isn't in the list, contact the HollaEx team.

Can I block certain countries from using my exchange?

Yes. Block countries with Geofencing in Operator Controls → Exchange → Configuration → Security. You can also apply country restrictions at the DNS level with services such as Cloudflare.

Please refer to this documentation: Operator Controls: Configuration

How can I manage the users of my exchange?

Manage users in Operator Controls → Operations → People → Users.

→ Operator Controls: Users

Where can I get my exchange reports?

Operator Controls has reports on your exchange and user activity (Analytics), and most tables can be downloaded as CSV files. Database backups are on your exchange's Hosting page in the dashboard (see Database backups).

The Sessions & Logins page shows login events and active user sessions (users have their own version too).

→ Operator Controls: Sessions & Logins

System → Admin Logs records every action taken by your operators, for transparency and audits.

How do I connect my exchange domain to my cloud exchange?

Connect your custom domain on your exchange's Hosting page in the dashboard, on the Domain tab. See Backend domain and Website Domains.

Can I have a landing page for my exchange?

Yes. On HollaEx Web v3 websites, design the landing page in Site Studio.

Does the system support two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Yes. HollaEx supports standard one-time-password (OTP) 2FA, and users are encouraged to turn it on. The HollaEx dashboard also supports 2FA, and you should turn it on for your own account.

Can I use the exchange to receive crypto payments?

Yes. Each exchange user gets their own deposit addresses for the supported crypto assets. Your developers can also build your own payment system with plugins, and use the admin API for custom crypto and fiat payment flows.

How do I accept payments for my token sales on my exchange?

HollaEx comes with a built-in wallet. The wallet accepts deposits for multiple crypto assets such as BTC, ETH, USDT and others.

For fiat payments, you can either:

  • Manually review deposits and credit user balances using Fiat Controls.
  • Automate the process with the Bank Integration plugin.
  • Use the Admin API to credit deposits from your own system.
  • Integrate a third-party on-ramp such as Banxa, which handles the fiat-to-crypto conversion for you.

See:

→ Fiat Controls

Can I set up a staking pool on my exchange?

Yes. See Staking.
