Bank (User Bank Accounts)

The Bank plugin lets your users add their bank account details to their exchange profile, and lets your team verify those accounts. It doesn't move any money. It stores the details that you, or a payment plugin, need in order to pay a user.

Set up on request

The Bank plugin isn't in the Available to install list. To add it to your exchange, open a ticket from your HollaEx dashboard and tell HollaEx which bank details your users need to provide.

Do you need it?

  • For manual fiat with Fiat Controls, usually not. Fiat Controls have their own payment accounts: you define the details users must provide under Fiat Controls → Payment accounts, and you verify each account. See Initial Setup.
  • For the Finmo plugin, yes. Finmo (AUD) pays withdrawals to a verified bank account stored by the Bank plugin, and needs the account name, account number and BSB number.
  • For on/off-ramp plugins such as Transak, Banxa or Guardarian, no. The provider collects any payment details itself.

What you need

  • The Enterprise plan on HollaEx Cloud.
  • The list of bank details your users must provide, which depends on their country and banking system.

Set it up

  1. Open a ticket to ask for the Bank plugin.
  2. Once it's on your exchange, open it in Operator Controls → Exchange → Plugins and choose which details are required. Turn a field on to make it required, or off to make it optional.
  3. Save.

What your users see

Users add a bank account from the verification section of their account. A user can add more than one account. A new account is pending until your team verifies it, and only verified accounts can receive withdrawals.

When a user adds an account, your exchange's admin email receives an alert with its details.

Approve or reject a bank account

Accounts waiting for review are listed in Operator Controls → Operations → Review Queue → Bank Verification. You can also see a user's accounts on their profile in Operator Controls.

  • Approve Bank once you're satisfied the account belongs to the user. The user gets an email listing their verified accounts.
  • Reject Bank if it doesn't check out. The account is removed from the user's profile and the user gets an email with your reason.

Check that the name on the account matches the user's verified identity before you approve it. Payment plugins send money to whatever verified account the user chooses.
